Black Studded Competition Kamas
Uniquely crafted 10" long wooden handles with 7" polished, vented steel blades. Chrome studs on handles for better gripping. Leather thong wrist cord. Sold in pairs.

History: Originally used by farmers to cut rice and grass, the Kama was developed by Okinawan commoners as a defensive weapon that was used against sword and Bo attacks, often attaching a chain to the base for greater reach.

Shaped like a sickle with a half-moon shaped blade and wooden handle, the Kama could be used to trap an opponent's weapon, or for striking an arm or leg.

Today the kama is most commonly used in kata (forms) competition and demonstrations. The forms include circular movements which improve blocking and countering techniques.

Disclaimer:
All weapons are for demonstration or decorative purposes only. If used for demonstration, expert care and supervision should be exercised.

Price: $24.95  Pr.
